Join Mad Cow Theatre, one of Orlando’s foremost professional theater companies. We are located in a new venue in the heart of downtown Orlando with a total of 220 seats between our two theatre spaces.With an annual attendance of over 20,000 and a subscriber base of 500, Mad Cow produces 10 productions plus The Orlando Cabaret Festival. Over the past 17 years, Mad Cow Theatre has grown from a tiny arts organization with an annual budget of $1,000 to the 15th largest non-profit arts organization in Orlando with an annual budget of over $800,000.

Production Coordinator

The Production Coordinator serves as the administrative arm within Mad Cow’s 3- person Production Department comprised of the Production Manager and Technical Director.


Responsibilities:

  •         Facilitates artist contracts including both non-union and union performers and designers.
  •         Liaison between Mad Cow Theatre AEA, SSDC, USA, etc.         
  •    Tracks production expenses and manages petty cash.
  •    Prepares weekly and monthly reports ensuring budgetary goals are met.
  •         Stage manages three to four productions per season
  •        Acts as stage manager coordinator for the season.
  •         Other duties as assigned.
  •         This is a full-time position, reporting to the Production Manager.
 
Qualifications:
 
Five years professional stage management experience and able to work in a deadline-oriented environment is essential. Possess strong communication, organizational and people skills. Excellent computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher). The ideal candidate has a very good working knowledge of Excel.  Must work cooperatively with professional designers, directors, stage managers, performers, staff and volunteers.  Ideal candidate prides her/himself on getting the job done. A professional team player who is able to work well with others under sometimes stressful environments. Able to problem solve, acting with tact and diplomacy. Designers and Production Professionals
Mad Cow Theatre is seeking experienced Directors, Designers, Stage Managers, Assistant Stage Managers, Prop Designers, Scenic Painters and Technicians for its current and upcoming season. Overhire Technicians  
Mad Cow Theatre utilizes technicians on an overhire basis during preproduction and for special projects.  We are looking for techs who have experience in lighting, scenic painting, set construction, stitching and props construction.  We are also seeking techs for load-in and strike calls.   Our needs vary in terms of required experience and length of commitment.  Most positions are contracted as needed, with calls ranging from 4-10 hours.    Experience, reliability, and punctuality are required.   If you would like to be considered for our overhire program please email Human Resources.
 

 
Box Office Assistant
Mad Cow Theatre has part time positions available in the Ticket Office for detail-oriented, energetic individuals. Weekends and Evening availability are a must. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, verbal/phone skills & clear speaking voice. Must be computer literate, function well under pressure and be a team player. Must have reliable transportation.

In this position you will be expected to answer incoming Box Office calls for ticket orders. Convey general information about Mad Cow’s programming to prospective and existing patrons. Handle point-of-service sales and will-call.

Experience:

  •         1-2 years of customer service experience
  •         Previous box office experience a plus         
  •    Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  •         Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  •        Solid computer skills. Experience with ProVenue a plus but not required.
  •         Proven ability to perform well under pressure.
