Mad Cow Theatre Is Hiring A Marketing Coordinator

The (FT) Marketing Coordinator responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Job Description 

*Maintains master marketing calendar, managing multiple projects at one time.  The master calendar reflects all company related communication.  The successful candidate will have a passion for identifying, assembling, and coordinating communication needs; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.

*You will be expected to work with marketing managers and peers to implement marketing plans aimed at building patron loyalty and increasing ticket sales.  Activities will include liaising with external organizations on promotional relationships; identifying prospects from the theater’s database & compiling targeted lists from outside sources,  setting up and deploying email; coordinating mailings; participate in the planning and implementation of promotional events and preparing flyers, posters and inserts in coordination with our graphic design studio. Works with staff to ensure timely completion. 

*The dexterity to successfully coordinate, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, unplanned assignments and interruptions, and internal and external requests; and to prioritize and carry out those assignments effectively such that you exceed reasonable internal and external expectations.

*The ability to take the reins on any communication related project and the resourcefulness to find the answers you need to get the job done.

*Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

*Partners with marketing managers (or management) on researching competitive products by evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.

*Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

*Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.

*Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.



Skills & Other Requirements 

*Experience using a customer relationship database system and e-mail system (i.e. Mail Chimp and/or Salesforce) is a mandatory qualification. You must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical skills. A creative flare along with a passion for the arts is necessary. 

*Strong competence in Microsoft Office products—Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  The ideal candidate will have outstanding excel skills.

*Flexibility with hours is required for special events such as The Orlando Cabaret Festival, Science Play Festival, fundraisers and other special events & rentals.

*Familiarity with graphic web design tools, image manipulation tools, and video editing applications is a plus.

*Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the digital media and entertainment industry.  Proven understanding of digital media platforms and businesses. Non-profit arts, or theatrical entertainment experience preferred.        

*BA/BS in Marketing or a related field.
